Maintain a payment in lieu of taxes agreement for property taxes with DH regarding the Alice Peck Day Hospital and related facilities to provide medical transport to the DHMC.

The City signed a PILOT agreement with APD/DH regarding a payment in lieu of taxes agreement for property taxes for the Alice Peck Day Hospital and related facilities in 2023 for a 20 year period ending in 2042. Prior to 2021 APD did not pay any property taxes. APD is now part of DH. Taxes have been assessed and paid (2022 and 2023). PILOT payment paid through 2024. The City also entered into a Contributions Agreement starting January 1, 2025 and ending on January 1, 2032. This agreement will cover the cost of funding 1.75 firefighter positions to allow for the City to continue to provide emergency ambulance transport to DHMC from APD.
