Work to achieve response standards as close as possible that align with NFPA 1710. Lebanon Fire Department provides Advance Life Support EMS. Geographical challenges will prevent us from fully meeting this standard. NFPA Benchmarks: ALS Ambulance arrival in less than 6 minutes no less than 90% of the time. 1 Minute for call processing, 1 Minute for the crew to respond following dispatch, 4 minutes for travel time, Our current resources allow us to meet this standard no less then 60% of the time.

The hiring of 4 new firefighters will enhance the department's ability to staff a third ambulance more frequently and help maintain current response times.

Seek to increase the percentage of times that emergency response goals are achieved.

Current Status

We are meeting the response benchmark 60% of the time. Some of this is related to the rural areas of our community and some is related to available staffing. We anticipate some improvement with the addition the 4 new firefighters in 2025. With current resources our objective is to maintain our current standard of an ambulance arriving in less than 6 minutes no less than 60% of the time.
