Strategic Objective
Strategic actions under this objective
NFPA 1710: The first arriving fire engine (or "company") should arrive within 6 minutes from the time of the emergency call no less then 90% of the time with the following benchmarks: 1 minute for dispatch handling 1 minute for turnout time (crew getting into gear and on apparatus) 4 minutes for actual travel time. The first arriving engine company must have at least 4 firefighters (including the officer and driver/operator). Geographical challenges will prevent us from fully meeting this standard. Our current resources allow us to arrive in less than 6 minutes no less than 50% of the time with 2 Firefighters.
