1.7 Implement and operationalize artificial intelligence (AI) technologies that align with our AI Policy (ADM-143) to enhance service delivery and accessibility, as well as furthering the realization of our Vision Statement around transparency, efficiency, innovation and teamwork.

Develop and maintain an accessible public-facing AI page, including an AI registry, that informs the public about the City’s AI initiatives and provides a channel for addressing public concerns related to AI fairness and implementation. (Transparency and Accountability) (Fairness and Respect)

Conduct regular and consistent reviews of AI systems and policy by the Technology Review Committee to ensure ongoing compliance with data protection standards and identify any potential security risks. (Privacy and Security)

Develop an AI Resource hub on the employee intranet that serves as a central hub for all AI-related information, including the AI policy, training materials, best practices, FAQs, collaborations, and updates on AI projects within the city. (Training)

Identify city processes and areas where AI can be introduced to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Implement AI solutions in identified areas, focusing on automating routine tasks, optimizing resource allocation, and enhancing decision-making processes. (Human Alternatives)
